The burial plans for the late Laetitia Naankang Dagan, an Assistant Director of Administration in the Aso Rock, Abuja, who was murdered Monday night has been announced by her family.

The family announced that the late Dagan will be buried on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Her remains will be interred at her family burial ground at Kwoor, in Kwalla community of Plateau State, Naija News gathered.

Dagan was reportedly gruesomely murdered by ‘yahoo boys’ in her residence located at 22 Road, B Close, EFAB City Estate, Lokogoma, Abuja.

It was alleged that she was sexually molested before her killers set her on fire.

It will be recalled Jalal Arabi, the Permanent Secretary, State House, Abuja, said the 47-year-old Dagan from Plateau State, northern Nigeria worked in her office on Monday, February 17 till 8 pm, but by 11 pm, she was gruesomely murdered in her apartment by unknown persons.

The Permanent Secretary had described the killing of Dagan, Assistant Director of Administration in the State House, as “a painful loss, not only to her immediate family but also the entire State House.”

“She was a dedicated, hard-working officer, and we all feel pained by her dastardly and untimely death,” Arabi told her family members during a condolence visit.

Meanwhile, according to a report by ThisDay, the late Dagan was uncomfortable when she found out that she was living among alleged fraudsters (Yahoo boys) in Lokogoma area of Abuja.

Naija News learnt that the Presidential Villa Director contemplated relocating from the area, according to the report which quoted some of her friends as saying. The report added that late Dagan later reported to the police but they allegedly betrayed her confidence and told the criminals that she was their informant.

It was on that note that the assailants of the Presidential Villa Director attacked her in revenge. Dagan’s security guard, who has been reportedly arrested, was said to have aided the killers.

The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah disclosed that preliminary investigation by the Police has resulted in the arrest of one suspect in connection with the killing.

He gave the name of the suspect as Edirin Ohonre, whom he said conspired with others currently at large to perpetrate the crime.
