Ondo Pastor Sentenced To Prison For Raping, Impregnating Tenant

A magistrate court in Edo State has sentenced a thirty-one-year-old man, Adamu Gaji to three years imprisonment for stealing two cows.

The two cows, valued at N700,000 were said to be the property of one Mr. Ogieriaki Omoruyi.

Gaji was said to have been contracted by Omoruyi to take care of the cows, but Adamu went into the bush with the cows and never returned.

The suspect committed the offence on June 10, 2019 at Amagbe community, Police Prosecutor ASP Patrick Agbonifo told the court.

He added that the offence contravened the provision of section 390(8 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap. 48 Vol. 11, Laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria, 1976, now applicable in Edo.

Adamu was thereafter sent to prison on one count charge of stealing after he was found guilty of the charge against him by Magistrate Awawu Osayande.
