Chelsea midfielder, Mateo Kovacic has advised his teammates to approach their next clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League like the beginning of the season.
Kovacic stated this while reacting to Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on Monday at Stamford Bridge.
The Croatian international said: “We need to wake up because they [Tottenham and Man United] are coming from behind,” Kovacic was quoted by Chelsea’s official website as saying.”
“We need to play our next game against Tottenham and rest like we were playing in the beginning of the season and also make some changes.”
“Chelsea must improve and focus because we have tough matches ahead of us.”
“We have to train hard every day and avoid making too many mistakes against top teams because we will be punished.”
“The good thing is that we are still in the fourth position so we are in pole position to qualify for next season’s Champions League.”
