Atiku Mourns Death Of Highlife Legend, Victor Olaiya

Former Vice President of Nigeria and 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has mourned the death of Victor Olaiya.

Naija News recalls Olaiya, Nigeria’s highlife legend and trumpeter, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 89.

Reacting to the death of the legend, Atiku said the moments created by Olaiya during his lifetime will not be forgotten.

“My condolences to the family of Nigeria’s highlife legend, Sir Victor Olaiya, OON. His artful delivery on the trumpet and his hits from the 50s are moments we’d never forget. Most recently, the duet with
@official2baba, was a musical bridge to travel. May his soul Rest In Peace,” Atiku wrote on Twitter.
