2Face Mourns The Exit Of Legend, Victor Olaiya

Following the death report of popular Nigerian highlife music legend, Victor Olaiya, yesterday, Innocent Ujah Idibia, Nigerian pop artist well known as 2Face Idibia (2Baba), has expressed his heartfelt on the exit of the legend.

Naija News understands that Dr Olaiya had died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) at the age of 89 in noon hour Wednesday, February 12, as confirmed by Bimbo Esho, Managing Director of Evergreen Music Company Ltd.

2Baba, however, took to his social media page, Instagram precisely to express his pain over the exit of Dr Olaiya.

He wrote, “Devastated by the news of your passing. Dr Victor Olaiya – maestro, mentor, legend.”

“Thanks for the beautiful music. Thanks for the inspiration. Blessed for the honour of sharing a mic and stage with you. Rest in peace baba.”

Naija News recalls that Tu Baba in 2013 had sung a song, ‘Baby Mi Da’ with Dr Olaiya. A song that receives praises and loved by many fans of the duo.
