1. Stop Releasing Our Killers – Soldiers Cry Out As 1,400 Boko Haram Suspects Are Released

The news of the return of 1,400 suspected Boko Haram members into the society in Borno State has attracted ‘worrying’ reactions from some soldiers.

The disappointed soldiers lamented that the government is releasing ‘killers’ that they had previously captured back into the society.

2. Supreme Court Affirms David Lyon As Bayelsa APC Governorship Candidate

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal challenging the candidature of David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 Bayelsa governorship election.

A five-man panel of the apex court on Tuesday dismissed the appeal filed by Heineken Lokpobiri challenging the emergence of Lyon as the APC governorship candidate in Bayelsa State for lack of merit.

3. PDP Leaders Protest At EU, French Embassies

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party and some member of the party have stormed the embassy of the European Union on a peaceful protest.

The peaceful protest was led by the party National Secretary, Ibrahim Tsauri. Upon their arrival at the embassy, Tsauri presented the party’s protest letter to the embassy officials.

4. Edo State: Bomb Scare As Hoodlums Attack House Of APC Secretary In Benin

The house of Mr. Lawrence Okah, the Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo State, was on Tuesday morning attacked by suspected hoodlums.

Narrating his experience to journalists after the attack, Okah said he was lucky to be alive.

Naija News further gathered that a bomb exploded at the residence of Okah which shattered a part of the building and dug a hole in the ground.

6. Amotekun Law Will Be Ready By Valentine’s Day – Governor Fayemi

The law giving legal backing to the establishment of the South-West security outfit codenamed Operation Amotekun will be ready by Friday, 14th February 2020, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has disclosed.

Governor Fayemi made the disclosure on Monday when he received the draft bill for the establishment of the security outfit from Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Wale Fapounda.

Primate Theophilus Olabayo of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh Worldwide has revealed what he heard from God about Edo State governorship election and the 2023 presidential election.

Olabayo in his prophecies noted that the North will remain in power in the 2023 presidential election.

An inferno has destroyed goods worth millions of naira at Atakumosa Central Market, Adeti, Ilesha, in Osun State, Naija News reports.

It was gathered that the fire which started around 1 am on Tuesday morning affected several shops located at the entrance of the market.
