Naija News reports that the office of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) located at Alausa, Ikeja caught fire on Wednesday.
Information gathered by our reporter says firefighters promptly arrived at the scene to put out the fire.
The fire is understood to have started around 11:40am, from the roof of the one story building, forcing Police officers to quickly exit the building and scamper to safety.
The operatives of the RRS attempted to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.
However, the quick arrival of the Lagos State Fire Service team who later extinguished the fire prevented a major disaster.
The fire was said to have begun as a result of an electrical surge in the building.
