The Edo State Government has revealed that the recent explosions at the residence of the factional Edo State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Lawrence Okah, is a plan for the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to declare a state of emergency.

The state claimed that the explosions were carried out by members of the Edo Peoples Movement to create a sense of insecurity in the state.

Recall that few hours after APC announced the reconstitution of the reconciliatory committee led by Chief Bisi Akande, an explosion rocked the residence of Lawrence Okah.

The Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state, Paul Ohonbamu, while speaking on the incident claimed that the EPM orchestrated the attack after failing to get the House of Assembly to remove Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Recall that Ize-Iyamu who accused Obaseki of political violence had warned the state governor to be calm with things in the state.
