Chinese Coronavirus Disease Named Covid-19
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has given the deadly Coronavirus a new official name.
The global health body who gave an hint on the “realistic chance” of stopping the deadly virus said the new diseases would now be named Covid-19″
“We now have a name for the disease and it’s Covid-19,”
WHO chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, told journalists in Geneva, Switzerland, explaining that “co” stood for “corona”, “vi” for “virus” and “d” for “disease”.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) also warned of coronavirus “clusters with no apparent link to China”. Giving the warning, Takeshi Kasai, who is the organisation’s director for Western Pacific, specifically cited local transmissions and said all countries in the region should “prepare for the possibility of wider transmission” of the virus, in a statement released by the WHO.
