The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party and some member of the party have stormed the embassy of the European Union on a peaceful protest.
The peaceful protest was led by the party National Secretary, Ibrahim Tsauri. Upon their arrival at the embassy, Tsauri presented the party’s protest letter to the embassy officials.
The members of PDP after the protest at the EU embassy proceeded to the embassy of France.
Tsauri while speaking stated that democracy has been derailed in Nigeria and called for the cooperation and assistance of the international community.
This is coming weeks after the Supreme Court sacked the governorship candidate of the Party in Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha.
The apex court had noted that votes belonging to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Hope Uzodinma, were cancelled during the election.
The judgement of the court has stirred reactions across the country with some notable people condemning the Supreme Court for its ruling.
