Former Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia has called out to well-meaning Nigerians to assist him with donations that will enable him to appeal the life ban imposed on him by the world football federal (FIFA).

Siasia while speaking on NTA’s Sports Parliament on Thursday noted that he needs the sum of £250,000 to get a legal team to defend himself at the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

Recall that Naija News had earlier reported that the former Super Eagles coach pleaded with Nigerians two-weeks ago to help him out of the ban.

The world governing body had banned Siasia for life over allegation of match-fixing. FIFA claimed that he accepted to take bribes from an individual to manipulate matches.

Siasia while reacting to FIFA’s position noted that he has never been involved in any match-fixing in his entire career.

He further stated that he was banned because somebody who was involved in match-fixing had a chat with him through his email in 2009.

He revealed that when FIFA investigated the man found wanting, they discovered he had a chat with him.

According to Siasia, the world football body sent him an email to appear before an investigating committee, but he was not online to reply, saying that was why he was handed a life ban without hearing his side of the story.

He revealed that among the players he has trained during his career, only Odion Ighalo has supported him financially.
