Trump Blast Mitt Romney For Voting Against Him

US President, Donald Trump has lambasted Mitt Romney, a Republican Senator for voting against him and supporting his impeachment.

Recall that it was reported three weeks ago that the Senate resumed the impeachment trial of Donald Trump, the third president in the history of the United States.

However, yesterday Naija News further reported that Trump was acquitted by the US Senate.

Romney who had contested against president against Barack Obama, for the seat of presidency, also made history when he became the only Republican Senator who voted against Trump.

The impeachment vote result was 52-48 vote.

Romney made history as the only Republican ever to vote against a president of the same party.

Trump tweeted: “Had failed presidential candidate MittRomney devoted the same energy and anger to defeating a faltering Barack Obama as he sanctimoniously does to me, he could have won the election. Read the Transcripts!”

Pelosi who was apparently against the president throughout his trial, condemned the acquittal. saying Trump was a “rogue president”, a “threat” to America and should have been removed.

The democrats had alleged that Trump abused power when he withheld military aid to Ukraine, asking the country to move against Joe Biden, his political rival.
