The Lagos State govt stated that Apapa, Yaba, Surulere, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Ikoyi Obalende, Lagos Mainland, Itire-Ikate and Coker-Aguda would be affected by the ban.

As a result of the ban, Okada riders on Monday clashed with operatives of the Nigeria Police in Lagos State.

The Okada riders had gone on a rampage and begun to smash vehicles and block roads, in reaction to the ban on their activities.
