1. Trump Imposes Immigration Visa Ban On Nigeria, Other Countries (Full List)

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has on Friday, imposed an immigration visa ban on Nigeria and some other countries, Naija News understands. The Wall Street Journal quoted Chad Wolf, acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, as saying the new immigration restrictions were designed to “address security concerns in the way the banned countries track their own citizens, share information with the U.S. and cooperate on immigration matters”.

2. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Vows To ‘Cripple Nigeria’ Ahead Of Parents’ Burial

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has made a new vow to cripple Nigeria. Naija News reports that Kanu’s statement is coming two weeks to the burial ceremony of his parents which he is expected to grace.

3. UK Officially Leaves European Union

The United Kingdom (UK), has finally officially left the European Union (EU), putting an end to nearly 50 years (47 years) of integration with Europe. Naija News reports that while speaking on the UK’s exit from the EU, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the country had “taken back control.”

There was a massive protest of Okada riders at the Lagos State House of Assembly earlier today. Naija News understands that the protesters, which comprise e-riders, Max riders and Gokada stormed the State House of Assembly in the afternoon, demanding for a reversal of the ban on them and tricycles by government.

5. New Reports Reveals Weapons Used By Herdsmen Were From Nigerian Security Agencies

A new report by the Conflict Armament Research (CAR) has noted that some of the weapons used them during the Farmers/cattle herdsmen clash are from the Nigerian Security agencies. According to the report, some of the weapons were traced to “stockpiles of Nigerian defence and security forces”.
