Gunmen Kidnap A 17-Year-Old Student In Abuja

Some yet to be identified gunmen on Tuesday morning reportedly kidnapped a seventeen-year-old student of Federal Government College, Rubochi, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

According to the information made available to newsmen by DSP Anjuguri Manza, the Police Public Relations Officer, the young boy identified as Gift Abiikor, was kidnapped while he was on the bed at 1 am in the residence of one Mr. Ahmed Adamu, who reached out to the police on the matter.

Naija News understands that the Federal Capital Territory Police Command disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Bala Ciroma has ordered a discreet investigation into the abduction.

Speaking further about the incident, DSP Anjuguri said, “According to Ahmed Adamu who reported the incident to the police, some armed men stormed his house at about 0100hrs and abducted one Gift Abiikor who was sleeping on the same bed with his (Ahmed Adamu) children.”

“The unfortunate incident happened at the residence of Ahmed Adamu, which is outside the premises of Federal Government College Rubochi.”

“Meanwhile, the Command is reassuring members of the public that it is making a concerted effort to rescue the victim and unravel the circumstances behind his abduction.”
