'Don't Let Our Daughter Die In Captivity' - Leah Sharibu's Parents Beg Buhari

Following reports by different media platforms that the longtime abducted Christian Chibok School Girl still in Boko Haram custody, Leah Sharibu has delivered a baby for the leader of the deadly sect, her father has broken silence on the development.

Leah’s father, Mr Nathan Sharibu, on Sunday, while speaking with newsmen said he was notified that his abducted daughter had delivered a child to the leader of her abductees. He said he was not weakened with the report, noting that if truely it was true and that it pleases God to have happened, then, he received it as fate with joy.

“I remain undaunted because, if that is the will of God; then, I receive it with all pleasure,” said Mr Sharibu.

He added that the reports will never stop him from going to the Church for service on Sunday, which was yesterday.

Mr Sharibu, however, express his sadness over the Federal Governments unreadiness to rescue his daughter, “despite having full knowledge of where Leah is hidden,” he claimed.

” I have been receiving calls from last night, if that is the will of God, it is well. Whatever they have done I receive it with all pleasure. The government knows Leah’s whereabouts.

“I repeat it; the government knows Leah’s whereabouts, as well as Ahmed Salkida. But whatever it is, I don’t have anything more to say, than to receive it (the condition of Leah) with all pleasure,” he said.

Naija News understands that popular journalist, Salkida, who is in exile in Dubai, has been known to have very reliable sources within the Islamist sect, and has revealed severally, information about the abducted Leah.

It was reported that Salkida, had disclosed to the President of the EYN (Church of the Brethren), Reverend Joel Billi, about the development, a few days after the Boko Haram men beheaded the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria in the Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Lawan Andimi.

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported earlier that a senior lecturer at the Department of Political Science, University of Jos, Dr Gloria Puldu, who speaks on behalf of Sharibu’s family, told The Punch on Saturday that reports of Leah Sharibu having a baby was a rumour.

According to Puldu, all the family wanted was to have Leah home alive, with or without a baby.

She said, “I have seen reports that Leah had a baby boy. That is just a rumour as far as we are concerned. What we even desire is to see a proof of life so that we see Leah by ourselves. If they are able to have Leah safe, we will understand.
