1. Supreme Court Delivers Final Judgment On Benue Governorship Election

The Supreme Court on Tuesday, affirmed the election of Samuel Ortom as the duly elected governor of Benue State in the March 9 2019 governorship election in the state.

Emmanuel Jime, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had challenged the election victory of Samuel Ortom who contested under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

2. No Amount Of Intimidation Will Stop Amotekun – YWC

The Yoruba Worldwide Congress on Tuesday affirmed that no amount of intimidation from the Nigerian Police Force can stop the declaration of Operation Amotekun.

Recall that protesters at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos on Tuesday were stopped by police officers.

3. Imo Lawmakers Massively Defect To APC (Full List)

Nine lawmakers of the Imo State House of Assembly on Tuesday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Action Action (AA) and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports that their defection letter was read during plenary by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon. Collins Chiji.

4. Junaid Mohammed Attacks Yoruba Leaders Over Operation Amotekun

Leaders of Southwest region have been attacked by a Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed, over the creation of operation Amotekun.

The former lawmaker called on the Federal Government “to test the matter at the Supreme Court to get a pronouncement that no state has the right to raise a state or region army while the constitution forbids such.”

5. Supreme Court Affirms Ahmadu Fintiri As Adamawa State Governor

The Supreme Court has on Tuesday, upheld the victory of Ahmadu Fintiri as the authentic governor of Adamawa State.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Jibrilla Bindow had challenged Fintiri’s victory at the polls.

6. Boko Haram Kills Abducted CAN Chairman

Lawan Andimi, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Michika LGA of Adamawa state, have been killed by members of Boko Haram group.

Naija News recalls that Andimi was abducted early January when the insurgents attacked his village.

7. Imo State House Of Assembly Deputy Speaker Resigns

The Imo State Deputy Speaker, Okey Onyekanma, has dropped his letter of resignation.

Naija News Understands that the Speaker made this known while reading the letter of resignation during the ongoing Plenary earlier today.

8. Atiku Congratulates Ortom, Tambuwal, Fintiri, Mohammed Over Victory In The Supreme Court

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has spoken on the ruling of the Supreme Court which affirmed the victory of PDP governors.

Naija News had earlier reported that the apex court affirmed the election of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

9. Umahi Places Curse On Supreme Court Judges Over Imo Election Verdict

The zonal vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southeast region, Austine Umahi has lamented that judiciary has ceased to be the hope of the common man in Nigeria.

He made the submission against the backdrop of the recent Supreme Court judgment which sacked Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP as the Imo State governor.
