Atiku Congratulates Ortom, Tambuwal, Fintiri, Mohammed Over Victory In The Supreme Court

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has spoken on the ruling of the Supreme Court which affirmed the victory of PDP governors.

Naija News had earlier reported that the apex court affirmed the election of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

A seven-man panel of the supreme court noted that it agreed with the concurrent judgements of the two lower courts.

Justice Sylvester Ngwuta while delivering the judgement said: “I have agreed with the submissions of the respondents that the concurrent judgments of the Tribunal and Court of Appeal should not be disturbed.”

The former vice president took to his Twitter account to congratulate Ortom, Tambuwal, Finitri and Mohammed on their victories.

He commended Nigerians for standing by the governors. The former president also applauded Nigerians for standing by the governors.

Atiku in the tweet wrote: “I commend Nigerians on their steadfastness and further congratulate Governors Ortom Samuel,Finitri , Sen. Bala Mohammed, and Aminu Tambuwal, on their victories at the Supreme Court.”
