Miyetti Allah Tackles Ganduje Over Planned Relocation Of Herdsmen

The fate of five Governors were determined by the Supreme court today.

First, was the case of Peoples Democratic Party PDP‘s Abba Yusuf in Kano state, who challenged the victory of the state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 2019 election.

His case was however dismissed and the court had upheld the election of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

In Sokoto also, the victory of the incumbent Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal, was also challenged but he also scaled through.

The apex court also dismissed the appeal which challenged the return of Simon Lalong as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State.

The court in a unanimous judgment held that the appellants, Senator Jeremiah Useni and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), failed to prove allegations made against the victory of Lalong of APC in the March 9 governorship election in Plateau.

Finally, in Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed and his Plateau counterpart, Simon Lalong, also saw their elections affirmed.
