Just In: Supreme Court Upholds Lalong Election As Plateau Governor

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the re-election of Simon Lalong in the March 2019 Plateau State Governorship election.

Naija News reports that the seven-man panel of the Apex court unanimously dismissed the appeal of Jeremiah Useni and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for lacking merit.

Reading the judgement, Justice Palu Galumje held that the appellants failed to prove their case.

The Supreme Court also dismissed an appeal filed by Lalong on the grounds that having dismissed the appeal by Useni, the other appeal had become academic.
