Breaking: Supreme Court Delivers Final Judgment On Kano Governorship Election

Ganduje Wins In Court

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been affirmed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria as the duly elected governor of Kano State.

Delivering judgment on Monday, the seven-man panel of Justices of the Supreme Court upheld Ganduje’s election and dismissed the appeal by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abba Yusuf.

The apex court by its ruling in a unanimous decision by the panel on Monday, has now laid to rest, all matters surrounding the 2019 governorship election in Kano State.

Naija News recalls the appeal court had earlier upheld the election of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and dismissed the appeals brought by Yusuf and the PDP for lack of merit.

Similarly, the governorship tribunal in the state had also thrown out the appeal that Gnaduje did not win the majority of total votes cast in the Kano governorship election conducted on March 9, 2019.
