Yakubu Gowon, Nigeria’s wartime Head of State, has finally opened up on Biafra, late warlord Chukwuemeka Ojukwu and Aburi conference 50 years after the war. 2. Ifeanyi Ubah Appeals Sack By Court Over Certificate Forgery

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has appealed against the judgment of a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Bwari, which sacked him from the Senate for certificate forgery. Naija News reports that Justice Bello Kawu in the Friday ruling dismissed Senator Ubah application to set aside an earlier order issued in a judgment delivered by the court on April 11, 2019.

A Yoruba socio-cultural organization in Nigeria, Afenifere, has warned the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari against the arrest of Southwest leaders over Operation Amotekun, adding that it awaits the arrest. Naija News reports that Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin said this in reaction to the call by Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, for the arrest of leaders of Amotekun by the federal government.

4. Amotekun: Why Buhari Must Arrest Yoruba Leaders – Miyetti Allah

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has called on the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to arrest Yoruba leaders for establishing the South-west security outfit code name Operation Amotekun. This call was made by the President-General of the group, the umbrella body of Herdsmen, Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, during an interview with The Sun.

5. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Bombs Father Mbaka Over Prophecy On Ihedioha, Hope Uzodinma

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has berated Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka for predicting the sacking of Emeka Ihedioha and the emergence of Hope Uzodinma as the governor of Imo State, southeast Nigeria. Naija News had reported earlier that the Supreme court sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo state and affirmed Uzodinma as the winner of the March 9 governorship election.

Operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Delta Safe (ODS) on Friday stormed Bilabiri community in Ekeremor council area of Bayelsa State. Naija News reports that the attack in the community was connected to the killing of four Naval ratings and abduction of foreigners by unknown gunmen at Agge coastal area, close to Bilabiri community.
