Naija News reported earlier that Senator Hope Uzodinma has been sworn in as the governor of Imo State following court rule on Tuesday which sacked Emeka Ihedioha from the office.

The chief justice of the state, Justice Pascal Nnadi, swore the governor in, along sides his deputy, Professor Placid Njoku.

Uzodinma was issued a certificate of return on Wednesday and his swearing-in ceremony follows a few hours at the Imo State Government House.

A few hours later, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo in their congratulatory message to the new governor on Wednesday stated that the All Progressives Congress will before 2023 win more states in Igboland.

Naija News understands that the apex body of the Ndigbo made the statement through its Secretary-General, Uche Okwukwu while congratulating Uzodinma, on his victory at the Supreme Court.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo heartily congratulates Senator Hope Uzodinma on his victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”

“The judgment is a well-considered and sound one. the Ndigbo are happy that Uzodinma’s mandate freely given by Imo people had been restored by God,” said Uche.
