The suspected killers of Moradeun Balogun, who was stabbed on her way from work in the Gbagada area of Lagos State have been remanded by the Magistrates Court in Ebute Meta, on Tuesday.

Recall that the deceased was stabbed in the neck by the suspects around the NCIE bus stop, Gbagada.

Balogun was rushed by some good samaritans to the R-Jolad Hospital, where she was allegedly not attended to because of a police report.

The allegation was denied by the hospital which claimed that she was assessed by two doctors before she was referred to the Gbagada General Hospital for vascular surgery.

A further report revealed that Moradeun died at the Gbagada General Hospital as a result of losing so much blood.

The suspects which were identified as David Obi, Ugochukwu Udochukwu, Chidiebere Nnanna, Samuel Nnanna and Faruk Usman, were charged with three counts of conspiracy, robbery and murder.

The police noted that the offences contravene sections 223, 299 and 297 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate A.O. Komolafe refused to hear the plea of the suspects and ordered that they be remanded in the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions and adjourned the matter till January 16, 2020.
