Senator Hope Uzodinma has been sworn in as the governor of Imo State following the ousting of Former governor Emeka Ihedioha earlier by the court..

The chief Justice of the state, Justice Pascal Nnadi, swore the governor in, along sides his deputy, Professor Placid Njoku.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Imo State Government House, just after a few hours that Senator Uzodinma received his certificate of return from INEC in Abuja.

His swearing in is coming in one day after the election of Emeka Ihedioha, was nullified by the Supreme Court.

The swearing in was attended by National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of the State, Senator Rochas Okorocha and governorship candidate of APGA in the 2019 governorship election, Ifeanyi Ararume, amongst others.
