Son Pound Mother’s Head To Powder In Imo

Commotion in Imo State as a son pound his 62-year-old mother’s head to powder.

Imo State Police Command, through its spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, has disclosed that they have made an arrest of a young man with the name, Sunday Agwin, for allegedly killing his own mother.

According to the report, the fearsome incident happened at Umuobom in the Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State.

Naija News understands that Agwim murdered his mother, Mrs Christiana Agwim, smashing her head with hammer and machete, and left her without recognition.

Mr Orlando in his chat with Southern City News said, “We received intelligence from one Jude Mbionwu, a security coordinator at Umuobom, who revealed that one Sunday Agwim, 47, killed his mother, one Christiana Agwim, 62, hitting a hammer and a machete on her head and completely grounded the head into powder beyond recognition with the hammer.”

“The scene was immediately visited and the suspect was arrested and exhibits recovered. The corpse was not taken to the mortuary because of the damage to the head; rather, coroners’ forms were completed and a doctor from the UTH Nnewi, Anambra State, conducted an autopsy on the corpse to enable the burial to take place.

“In his confessional statement, the suspect stated that he never knew what came upon him. But he would be charged at the end of the investigation,” Said Mr Orlando.

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported that a young man in Ebonyi State took his father’s life over the food he cooked before leaving to visit a friend.

Iduma was said to be infuriated by his father’s action who ate the yam he cooked, while he was away and thereby killed him after some exchange of words between them.
