JUST IN: Trump Sacks US Election Security Official For Rejecting Fraud Claims

A classified briefing on the killing of Iranian army Chief, Qassem Soleimani was presented to the US Parliament yesterday by top administration officials.

Both Republicans and Democrats were available to hear the briefing

Recall that the republicans had applauded President Donald Trump for ordering Soleimani’s killing, but the Democrats said they were not convinced about the “imminent threat” the administration claimed in its justification existed.

Senator Mark Meadows, who represented the Republicans, said, “Not only did the president make the right call but this was a clear and present danger for American interests and American individuals.”

However, the Democrats Representative Gerry Connolly called the Trump team’s briefing “sophomoric and utterly unconvincing” while also describing the US killing of Soleimani as “impulsive, reckless.”

Soleimani, a Commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, died last Friday in a US airstrike on his convoy at Baghdad airport.

The incidence has since then generated a lot of controversies and reactions from world leaders.

Naija News reported yesterday that Iran launched over 15 missiles on US targets in Iraq in retaliation to the death of Soleimani, just after his burial on Tuesday.

Just after the retaliation attack, Iran issued another warning that any US retaliation would lead to an all-out war in the Middle East.
