Naija News reports that appointment was contained in a letter signed on Tuesday by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF.
This online news platform understands that the letter also conveyed the appointment of Ademola Razak Seriki as the Chairman, Governing Board of the commission.
“Kindly note that the tenure of the appointments should be in line with the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act,” the letter stated.
Naija News reports that Abubakar has been serving as the Director of Compliance at the Commission until his recent appointment, will take over from the embattled Azuka Azinge.
Meanwhile, Naija News understands that Azinge has been the acting Registrar-General of the commission for more than two years until she was recently suspended by the Code of Conduct tribunal, following assets declaration issues, as well as some irregularities.
