Buhari Overrules Power Minister

President Muhammadu Buhari has reversed the sack of Marilyn Amobi as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company Limited (NBET).

The President’s move was contained in a memo issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, had ordered Amobi to step down from the office with immediate effect. He also ordered her probe.

Nnaemeka Ewelukwa, who had been in acting capacity as the Managing Director of NBET, has also been asked to step aside for Amobi to return to her post.

Naija News recalls President Buhari had also on Tuesday, reversed Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi’s suspension as Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency.

Mamman had dismissed both Ogunbiyi and Amobi but both of the Minister’s decision has now been overruled by the President.
