A new record has been set by the National Hospital Abuja after they presented two infants, born same day to parents following a successful surgery.

The twins, Goodness and Mercy were presented to their parents 16 months after intensive surgery,

Naija News understands that the medical team of the National Hospital Abuja on Tuesday formally presented the first-ever successfully separated conjoined twins at the hospital to their parents, with the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire in attendance to witness the beautiful celebration and new record set.

The minister described the successful delivery of the conjoined twins as a remarkable event in the country’s medical record.

He added that the successful separation of the conjoined twins is a clear indication of what can be achieved when the country’s health sector is at its best.
