Ex-REA Boss Resumes UN Office After Buhari Reverses Suspension Order

Following President Muhammadu Buhari’s order to reverse Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi’s suspension as Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency, the Ex-REA Boss assumed her new office at the United Nations.

Recall that Naija News on Tuesday reported that the President has directed that the suspension of Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi from her role as Managing Director of Rural Electrification Agency, be reserved.

Ogunbiyi’s new duty assumption was made known by the UN spokesman, Mr Farhan Haq, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in New York on Tuesday.

Naija News understands that Ogunbiyi was appointed Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) since October 2019, and she began work with the UN on January 1.
