Hisbah Police Arrest Fresh Graduates Planning Gay Party In Kano State
The Kano State Sharia Police, popularly known as Hisbah have made an arrest of 15 persons allegedly involved in planning a gay sex party in the state.
The development was confirmed by Muhammad Al-Bakary, the deputy commandant general in charge of the special duties of the board.
Al-Bakary revealed that Hisbah operatives invaded a compound located at Sabuwar-Gandu quarters in Kano metropolis, where the arrest was made just before the said party began.
He added in his report that the main organisers of the gay party were fresh graduates from a tertiary institution in the state. The party was organized by the graduates to celebrate their graduation, inviting other same-sex partners to the party.
Al-Bakary said that the Hisbah operatives were hinted of over 50 gays involved in the act, but that many of the suspects fled during the operation.
Suspects arrested by the Hisbah are currently undergoing reorientation programmes, according to Al-Bakary.
