President Muhammadu Buhari has laid down new directives restricting the number of times a Minister can travel in a year.

This was made known on Monday by the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed.

Lai Mohammed stated that Buhari has directed ministers to only travel out of the country eight times in a year.

According to the Minister, members of Buhari’s cabinet are to embark on foreign trips only twice in a quarter.

He said no minister on a trip outside the shores of the land should go with more than four aides, who should be relevant to the trip.

President Buhari also said federal government officials below the rank of ministers are henceforth entitled to fewer aides.

According to the new directive, the calculation of estacode on an hourly basis will be stopped.
