Armed Thugs Attack Edo Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu’s House

The family house of Philip Shaibu, Edo state deputy governor, has been attacked by suspected thugs

Naija News learnt that the suspects invaded the house located in Jattu-Uzairue, Etsako west local government area, today after they successfully scaled the fence into the compound.

A patrol team from the Edo state police command were able to arrest the suspects after they responded to a distress call from the family members of the deputy governor.

According to a witness, some of the items retrieved from the suspect were locally-made gun, cutlass, battle axe and gunpowder.

The police said five of the thugs were arrested while some other members of the gang escaped. A policeman who spoke off the record said the suspects have been transferred to the area command while efforts are being made to arrest the others.
