It might be Year of Testimony which is about Jesus in you or a Year of Protection and Deliverance. Whatever the theme of the year will be the LoveWorld family will take it to their hearts and grow through their Christian mission.

The excitement around the annual New Year’s Eve celebration at the LoveWorld Convocation Arena is building. The members of the LoveWorld family are reflecting on this glorious year that was full of illumination. Pastor Chris blessed us with the hope that:-” this year may be full of love, hope and light to all.”

Illuminating the highlights of 2019

Furthermore, he said, “This year you are going to shine ever so brightly.” He prophesized that the Church would be entering a new dimension of glory.” With the ‘Rhapsody of Realities’ now available in 2010 languages, it is celebrating 20 years in print. The ‘Messenger Angel’ is read daily in all four corners of the globe. This impact of this illuminating daily devotional is worth celebrating as it will lead to further glory.

Also, worth celebrating are the miracles that have occurred during the ‘Healing School Sessions.’ When all hope is gone the testimonies of faith and healing were manifested more strongly than before.

Another moment of powerful illumination was the ‘World Evangelism Conference.’  It was simply beyond words with evangelists from over 170 nations gathered to hear the word of God. The spirit of God spoke to every heart in the conference and imparted each one with a unique conviction.

So many outstanding suggestions

The Facebook page of Pastor Chris Events had this exciting post where brethren of Christ Embassy were discussing their exciting thoughts about the potential theme of the year for 2020. The theme word of the year seems to permeate every aspect of the LoveWorld consciousness, and the brethren are excited to find out on the 31st December. It is  at the New Year’s Eve Service when Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reveals the theme of the year and reads the scripture to expound on that word that souls are stirred and hearts are opened.

There is one event that may have triggered the idea that this year will be the “Year of Overflow.” When Sinach sang her award-winning song ‘Overflow’ at this year’s LIMA awards the whole world was illuminated with praise and thanksgiving. His overflowing grace is something we experience as Christians in this life. Jesus said, “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly” (John 10:10). The life He gives us is overflowing with meaning. So we may have the ‘Year of Overflow.’

Year of Divine Favor

It would be wonderful to have Pastor Chris Oyakhilome expound on this complex idea. To have our eyes opened to the extraordinary workings of God through Jesus Christ is something many Christians look for. In the Bible, we remember how God had caused the officials to show favor and compassion to Daniel and Joseph. We want to be able to be thankful and praise when we see big miracles and know when to see the divine that is everywhere.

When Susan Emmanuel suggested it will be a “Year of Rejoice and Celebration” there is always something to rejoice over. To be guided and reminded of how to express those feelings and see the need to do so is timely. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a man who encourages all to rejoice in the strength of the Lord.

The outstanding work the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) does is a celebration of outreach into the community and a healing of the world. With many volunteers and partnerships COFI and its member organizations have ongoing projects to feed the poor, educate indigent children and offer medical care to the sick.

It is all done with joyful care. We are commanded to, ” Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” (Philippians 2:14-15). In encouraging the pursuit of active Christianity NGO’s like COFI give hundreds of neglected souls a reason to rejoice.

Some other ideas were a ‘Year of Increase’ suggested by NwileBari Shalom Letam. Like so many of us, Elisha Ogbeni is hoping for a Year of Divine Connection. When reading Favour Eberechukwu Nnama’s suggestions of a ‘Year of Mercy, Year of Abundance of Grace and The Year of Rising’ they such powerful thoughts that one wants to say Amen to them all.

For these things we say Amen.

Many people read the Facebook posts and joined in by saying Amen. A whole year could easily be dedicated to the affirmation and agreement that saying Amen brings. In 2 Corinthians 1:20, it says “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” The unity of purpose we feel when we say Amen is overwhelmingly gratifying. We say it when we have reached consensus. With guidance from Pastor Chris in his sermons and teaching, we reach a place of harmony. SO we may have a ‘Year of Amen.’

During the recent three-day Praise-A-Thon Pastor Benny Hinn said next should be the ‘Year of Multiplication.’ As he was preaching, he was explaining that you must sow first something for the Lord to multiply. In 2 Corinthians 9:6, it says, “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” God will multiply what is sown.

Elizabeth Chichi said the “the forthcoming theme is going to be greater than the outgoing theme.” The message that we take from the sermons of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is that we should always strive for more. Members of Christ Embassy are active Christians and they do something positive with their Christianity so whatever the theme they will live positively through the Gospel. Glory to God. Amen.

To find out what the theme of the year is and enjoy the New Year’s Eve service with Pastor Chris kindly tune in to LoveWorld Networks at 8pm+1 (GMT) on the 31st of December.
