Fire Destroyed 12 Shops In Bauchi Market

Fire razed 12 shops at the Wunti Market in Bauchi metropolis.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed who intend to visit the scene on Friday but represented by his Deputy Senator Baba Tela to sympathized and to express his shock over the incident.

Tela then assured the victims of the incident of the immediate government’s support.

He said the State Emergency Management Agency has commenced an assessment of the damages in order to provide basic assistance.

the chairman of Wunti Market, Nura Zango also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for pledging to support the victims.

It was gathered that no loss of lives was recorded as at the time of filing this report but authorities say properties worth millions of naira were destroyed in the fire.
