Gov. Bello Dissolves Kogi State Cabinet
The governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello on Wednesday, dissolved his cabinet.
The Governor in his order said the dissolution takes immediate effect and directed all affected cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their various ministries.
He also appreciated them for their efforts and contributions while in office.
The dissolution was announced late Wednesday night after the state executive council meeting which took place in Government House, Lokoja.
However, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Ayoade Arike, was not affected by the cabinet dissolution.
The Director-General, Media and Publicity to the governor, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo is now designated as Special Adviser on Information and Communication.
The finance commissioner, Idris Hashiru is now Special Adviser on Budget and Planning.
Also, the state Accountant General, Momoh Jibril and the state Auditor General, Mallam Yakubu Okala and the Chief Press Secretary to the governor Mallam Muhammed Onogu were all reinstated.
Naija News recalls the governor back in November, shortly after his second term victory, sacked all his special advisers, senior special assistants, and special assistants.
