Shina Peller, a member of the House of Representatives and owner of Quilox night club, has announced his resignation from the management of the club since he became a member of the House.

This, the lawmaker said while speaking on a motion to prevent sales of alcohol to underage.

The motion was sponsored by Chinedu Martins, yesterday on the need to curb consumption of alcohol by underage youths in Nigeria.

Peller said even why he was still in the world, alcohol was not sold to underaged while adding that in line with the constitution, he has stepped down from the club.

Femi Gbajabiamila, the house speaker on a jovial note asked: “Where are you now?” Adding that the house will send a delegation to confirm if indeed the club is not selling alcohol to minors.

The house, therefore, told the Federal Ministry of Health to liaise with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) to put mechanisms in place to that would enforce age restriction on alcohol consumption.
