English Premier League side, Manchester United is set to sign Erling Braut Haaland in during the January transfer window for a deal worth £76million ($100m).
According to UK Sun, Red Bull Salzburg has insisted on a deal that would allow the 19-year-old player to return to the club on loan for the rest of the season.
Although the Red Devils would prefer to have Haaland all through the season, the only deal on the table to land the striker has been placed forward by Red Bull.
Haaland caught the attention of many clubs after he became the first teenager to score in five consecutive games in the competition.
However, despite Haaland’s eight goals during the group stage, Salzburg was unable to reach the knockout stage of the tournament.
Haaland has scored 28 goals in 22 games in all competitions this season.
