A suit filed by a Kano based lawyer Bulama Bukarti seeking an order of the court compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for allegedly receiving a kickback from a contractor, has been dismissed by a Federal High Court sitting in Kano. Naija News reports that the Federal High Court sitting in Kano, northern Nigeria, dismissed the case on Monday afternoon, December 16 for ” lack of evidence.”

2. Why DSS Can’t Release Omoyele Sowore, Malami Replies Falana

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has said he cannot order the Department of State Services (DSS) to release Omoyele Sowore. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as baseless allegations that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) sponsored the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo.
