Some governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly told him of their resolve to get the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, sacked. It was gathered that the APC governors who want Oshiomhole sacked include Governors Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa) and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi).

Femi Falana (SAN) has called on the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), to release Omoyele Sowore from the custody of the DSS. Naija News reports that the Department of State Services (DSS) had released Sowore and co-defendant Olawale Bakare after spending 124 days in detention.

7. Boko Haram Kills 19 Fulani Herdsmen In Fierce Gun Battle

Members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have revealed that Boko Haram terrorists have gunned down 19 Fulani herdsmen in Fuhe village, near Ngala close to the border with Cameroon. It was gathered that the Fulani herdsmen had pursued the insurgents after attacks targetting their cattle.
