1. Buhari Returns To Nigeria From Egypt

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday returned to Nigeria after attending the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development in Africa, held in Egypt. Naija News reports that President Buhari’s jet landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 2.30 pm.

2. Killer Of Maersk MD’s Wife Arrested on Mango Tree In Lagos

Akande Adeyinka, one of the two suspects, who attacked and murdered the wife of the Managing Director of Maersk Line, has been arrested from his hideout on a mango tree. Naija News reports that the suspect was sighted by a police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu, where he was hiding on a mango tree.

3. AGF Malami Issues Fresh Directive To DSS On Sowore’s Case

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has asked the State Security Services (SSS) to transfer Omoyele Sowore’s case file to his office. Naija News understands the directive was contained in a letter dated 11th December 2019 and addressed to the Director-General of the State Security Services, National Headquarters Abuja.

The National Assembly has sent the 2020 Appropriation Bill to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent. This was made known on Thursday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives), Umar el-Yakub.

5. Fuel Tanker Falls In Lagos As Residents Rush To Scoop Its Content

A petrol tanker fell and spilled its content on Ozumba way, few metres away from Cactus in Lagos Island. Naija News learned that some yet-to-be-identified area boys stormed the scene of the incident to fetch the petrol rather than finding ways to salvage the incident that is leading to traffic build-up.

A popular Nigerian comedian and radio host, Ajibade Oyemade, has passed away. Naija News reports that Oyemade, who recently celebrated his wedding anniversary, died after a brief illness on Wednesday, December 11.
