Former Ondo Governor Loses Mother

Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, has lost his mother, Mrs Muniat Mimiko (nee Ogunsulie).

Confirming her death, a former Chief Press Secretary to the ex-Governor. En Akinsola said the former governors mother died in her sleep at the residence of her son where she lived in Ondo.

Mrs Mimiko was a community leader and successful trader who bagged different chieftaincy and religious titles.

The mother of the former governor was loved by people in her community.

The family is yet to release details of her burial ceremony but it was learnt that sympathisers from both within and outside the state have been visiting the Ondo country home of the former Governor.

The deceased is survived by other children including a former Vice-chancellor of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko

Naija News reports that Olusegun Mimiko was on Friday honoured by the Ondo State University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.
