Truck Crushes Woman To Death In Abuja

A woman died after a truck transporting a tractor crushed a taxi in Nyanya, Abuja.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at 9.40 am, when the truck with registration number KSB379XA (Kwara) crashed into several vehicles, including that of punch correspondent, before it stopped at Nyanya bus stop.

Naija News learnt that the Punch correspondent was in his car at the time the accident occurred and survived without a scratch.

A middle-aged woman who was sitting in the passenger seat of a parked taxi, which was the last affected vehicle died on the spot but the driver was pulled out of the mangled car and rushed to the hospital where he is receiving treatment

It was gathered that the truck developed brake failure at Mogadishu Barracks, outbound the Federal Capital Territory, several kilometers before it came to a stop.

The Officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps and police have arrived at the scene to prevent traffic.
