Just In: Court Adjourns Naira Marley’s Trial

The Federal High Court in Lagos has once again postponed the trial of Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley for alleged credit card fraud till tomorrow.

Naija News recalls that Naira Marley trial was initially fixed for today before the court adjourned till Thursday, December 12, as the defence counsel Mr. Olalejan Ojo (SAN) was not available.

Marley was arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an 11-count charge bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards and fraud.

The singer who was granted a bail in the sum of N2 million with two sureties in like sum, was accused of committing the offence on different dates; between Nov. 26, 2018 and Dec.11, 2018, as well as May 10, 2019.

Marley had denied the charges when he was arraigned before Justice Oweibo on the 20th of May.
