400-Level Student Killed Inside Kogi State University By Gunmen

The death of Apeh Joseph by unknown gunmen at the Kogi State University, Ayingba, has been confirmed by the state police command.

The Police revealed that the deceased was a 400-level student of English Education and an alleged cultist.

The Kogi State Police command in a statement through its spokesperson, DSP William Aya, stated that the deceased was behind the cult killing that occurred in the university last month.

Aya noted that Onuche Jibrin, security personnel in the institution security unit filed a complaint at a police station that “one Joseph Apeh, a 400-Level student of English Education Department of the university, was shot inside the campus by two unknown men on a motorcycle.”

The police spokesman noted that the deceased was rushed to the university teaching hospital where he was confirmed dead by medical doctors.

Aya further stated that the deceased remains had been deposited in the morgue of the health facility for autopsy.
