Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has said the Catalan-based club will always be willing to accept former manager Pep Guardiola if he chooses to return.
Guardiola, who is currently Manchester City manager, emerged from Barca’s youth system to become a senior star.
The Spaniard eventually become coach of the first team and oversaw one of the most successful era at the Nou Camp.
Even since he left the club, he has managed Bayern Munich and City.
Speaking to the La Repubblica, Bartomeu said that the door will always be open for Pep Guardiola.
“It doesn’t depend on me,” he said.
“It was Pep who decided to leave, but the door will always be open for him at Barca.”
Barcelona fans have called for the sacking of current manager Ernesto Valverde despite the club topping the Spanish La Liga table.
