Delta State: Teacher Attacked By Students After Taking Hard Drugs

A male teacher at the Zappa Secondary School in Asaba, the Delta State capital, has been attacked by some students of the school after allegedly taking hard drugs.

A report had it that the pupils, who just completed their first term examination on Friday attacked the teacher while on his way home.

An eyewitness stated that the teacher was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, for treatment as he suffered a broken forehead.

Following the incident, some cops from the ‘A’ Division Police Station stormed the school and arrested some pupils on the school premises.

An activist, Victor Ojei, who spoke on the incident stated that hard drugs have caused a lot of damage to some secondary pupils in the state.

He stated, “The teacher was attacked and rushed to the FMC for treatment. Hard drugs are now being consumed by secondary school pupils in Delta State.”

“These kids now take all forms of hard drugs and get intoxicated and start fighting their teachers. They broke his forehead.”
