APC Reacts To Death Of Reps Member, Iliyasu

The All Progressives Congress has revealed that the death of Hon. Ja’afaru Iliyasu, who represents Magama/Rijau Federal Constituency of Niger State, came as a shock.

The ruling party noted that it received the news of Hon. Iliyasu’s demise on Monday with great sadness.

As earlier reported by Naija News, the lawmaker died in an Abuja hospital on Monday.

The spokesperson of the party, Lanre Issa-Onilu, in a statement on Tuesday described the honourable as “a gentleman and resourceful federal lawmaker who put national interest over any other interests”.

“The party condoles with his immediate family, the National Assembly, constituents, the people and government of Niger State.

“We pray Almighty Allah to forgive Hon. Iliyasu’s shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus and gives us all the strength to bear the loss”.

The House of Representative has, however, adjourned sitting in honour of Iliyasu.
