LASTMA Official Stoned To Death

Ola Oyesina, an officer of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, was Saturday evening stoned to death by a mob around Iganmu area of Lagos State.

He was trying to decongest the area of traffic around the Iganmu-Sifax axis of Apapa

According to LASEMA’s General Manager, Olajide Oduyoye, a large stone was thrown at Oyesina and he immediately fell. He was taken to Area “B” Police Command, Apapa. Due to the trauma, he was immediately referred to Randle Hospital, Surulere before he was later rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idiaraba for further treatment following severe injuries sustained.

He learnt later gave up the ghost late Saturday evening at the Emergency Section of LUTH. Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Bayo Sulaimon ordered for the detention of two suspects arrested involved in the attack.
